Yesterday, we began Ch.1 "An Economic Way of Thinking" and you answered three questions to three real-world scenarios. Today, you will learn how to apply an economic way of thinking to help see the role that economics plays in various types of decision making. Economics provides a way of looking at and questioning what happens around us.

Adam Smith, the father of modern economics, left us with this quote:

"Every man is rich or poor according to the degree in which he can afford to enjoy the necessaries, conveniencies, and amusements of human life."

CM-To me this quote means that it doesn't matter if you are rich or poor or have a degree or not, all men have the same abilities, necessities, and same ideas in life.
